Description
This arch, located within Capitol Reef National Park, is named after famous outlaw Butch Cassidy, who hid from the law here. It's in the Western walls of Grand Wash, beside the scenic drive, hundreds of feet up. It's a steep 3 mile hike, but totally worth it. The arch trail is a spur off of the larger Frying Pan Trail, a route that climbs northeast atop the Waterpocket Fold before dropping down into Cohab Canyon and onto Highway 24.
